i was planning on getting two 12 jlw3v2 subs but i dont know what kind of amp i should use. jl has a 250/1 amp but the jl subs can put out 300 watts. rockford has alot of high powered subs at a cheaper price, are they a good company? should i go with the cheaper price and try and save money or does someone know a better amp company?

jbl 600.1 or jbl 1200.1
The JBL 1200.1 is like 295 shipped from ikesound.com and its to my understanding its underrated it actually does around 1350 watts rms or so.

I like the Pioneer 800 watt amp that I bought from ebay. I run 2 Pioneer subs(300 watts RMS each). It powers them really good. The amp is like $130 shipped.

I've got a JL Audio 500/1 pushing my set of 12w3's - it hits very hard - sealed box. I figured you can't go wrong with a matched set of subs and amp - so far everyone that hears it has been impressed. Just my 2 cents - good luck!

The JBL amps that CAMAROw/B mentioned are going to be your best bangs for the buck. They output a tad more then rated power at 1 or 2 ohms. About 1350WRMS for the 1200.1 and about 700WRMS for the 600.1. JL makes fantastic amps, they are just damned expensive!
