Ok, I was going down beach blvd in huntington beach with my sister in the car, and this motox cop is 2 lanes across from me (I'm on far inside lane) and we both are at the front at a red light. He looks over at my car, I had my windows down to all but a little crack, and then proceeds to take off at the green light. I cruise down Beach, and I see him sitting on the corner. I pass by (I know I'm not doing anything wrong) and he pulls me over. I'm like...WTF? So he gets me for tinted windows, tinted front winshield, tinted tail-lights, and no front license plate. I was like...you fukin @$$HOLE!! I'm thinking, oh well, $10 fix it...not bad, whatever. I get the ticket in the mail finally...
$208 plus proof of correction!

Its funny I haven't seen your car on beach yet. I drive that road at least 4 times a day, from atlanta to warner and back.
HB Cops are asses.
I hope they are not going on a rampage, cause I have a small little list of my own I could get writen up for.
I have been lucky for the past 3 years. Only one pull over without ticket.
Good luck, maybe they will leave you alone now.

Man... I think you might be able to get away with the tinted side windows if you roll them down when you see a cop, but a tinted front windshield is just begging for a ticket...
I bet if you took that off you wouldn't have anymore problems... Hell, I would take it off just to feel safer driving at night lol.
oh yeah - the AVS Blackouts are street legal in CA smile.gif
You might be able to get the whole ticket dismissed on that, but I really wouldn't know.
And your tire looks flat in this pic:

Hey bat, that tire did go flat, lol...that's why I got new tires. And are you sure that the AVS Blackouts are street legal? Where does it say that? Cause the penal code says NOTHING can be adapted to the rear lighting of the vehicle.

When I bought mine they, that is how they were advertised.. 50 states street legal.
That should not be your biggest worry though.. you can take those off in 2 seconds and get the ticket signed off (if that is an option on the ticket). I would just remove the front tinting and see what happens as far as your luck with cops...
If that doesn't work, I would retint the side windows lighter... otherwise you will prbably keep ketting tickets.
I think the more tickets you get for the same thing the more expensive they get.

What was the citation code for the taillamps.
Did you get pulled over at night or the day.
24600. During darkness every motor vehicle which is not in combination with any other vehicle and every vehicle at the end of a combination of vehicles shall be equipped with lighted taillamps mounted on the rear as follows:
(a) Every vehicle shall be equipped with one or more taillamps.
(b) Every vehicle, other than a motorcycle, manufactured and first registered on or after January 1, 1958, shall be equipped with not less than two taillamps, except that trailers and semitrailers manufactured after July 23, 1973, which are less than 30 inches wide, may be equipped with one taillamp which shall be mounted at or near the vertical centerline of the vehicles. If a vehicle is equipped with two taillamps, they shall be mounted as specified in subdivision (d).
(c) Every vehicle or vehicle at the end of a combination of vehicles, subject to subdivision (a) of Section 22406 shall be equipped with not less than two taillamps.
(d) When two taillamps are required, at least one shall be mounted at the left and one at the right side respectively at the same level.
(e) Taillamps shall be red in color and shall be plainly visible from all distances within 500 feet to the rear except that taillamps on vehicles manufactured after January 1, 1969, shall be plainly visible from all distances within 1,000 feet to the rear.
(f) Taillamps on vehicles manufactured on or after January 1, 1969, shall be mounted not lower than 15 inches nor higher than 72 inches, except that a tow truck, in addition to being equipped with the required taillamps, may also be equipped with two taillamps which may be mounted not lower than 15 inches nor higher than the maximum allowable vehicle height and as far forward as the rearmost portion of the driver's seat in the rearmost position. The additional taillamps on a tow truck shall be lighted whenever the headlamps are lighted.
Amended Ch. 924, Stats. 1988. Effective January 1, 1989. It looks like you don't need taillamps in the day.
And at night they should glow through red.So if they are visable from 500 feet away. I dont see a problem.

$24600 IS the code that he got me for. If I fight the ticket on that count, is the whole ticket void?

Right, but thats at night. Who's to say that I drive my car only during the day (as a show car, etc). How does the cop know whether or not it's visible from 1000 ft? (Even though it is).
