  • 98 Camaro Evap Orifice Location

Does anyone know exactly where, on the intake manifold, that the evap purge solenoid line is hooked up to? This is for a 98 Chevy 3.8 3800 Series ll V-6 engine. Also, exactly where is the orifice in that system located? Thank you for your support, Tommy.

Re: 98 Camaro Evap Orifice Location

BLLDOGG, I have installed a Chevy 3.8L V-6 from a 98 Camaro, into my 2002 PT Cruiser. So, I'm actually piece mealing the evap system together to the specifications of the 98 Camaro. That's why I don't know exactly where these items are located at. I know from research that one of the evap lines runs from the vapor canister at the rear of the car, and goes to one side of the purge solenoid valve located near the number # 2 fuel injector on engine, and the other end comes out of the purges solenoid and goes to the throttle body. I'm trying to find out exactly where the orifice is located. I think it is installed somewhere between the vapor canister and the purge solenoid valve. Also, there is one more evap line that runs from the vapor canister to the leak detection pump, and from the leak detection pump it runs forward and connects somewhere at the intake plenum. I need to know exactly where that is? You can check on my conversion project by clicking on this link. http://ptcruiserworld.tenmagazines.c...ry.ten?id=3504 I have well over 100 pictures with documentation. I hope someone will be able to get the information I need. Thank you for your support, Tommy.
