  • high insurance

When I used to live in Calif. I only paid $49 a month for liability insurance thru Geico on all 3 of my cars. I recently cancelled 2 and kept 1 because I was moving to Las Vegas. Now my insurance expired and I have to renew and now I'll be paying $65 a month for just one.

I understand that Las Vegas has a much higher rate of accident and the lawyers here would be happy to sue you for just about everything you have. I would hate to find out how much more once I bring in my other cars.

Plus, my Asian wife, who I am teaching how to drive, I would hate to see how much I'll be paying once I put her in. I'm thinking about nonpolicy liability for her.

I have full coverage on the truck with glass and towing and liability on the Camaro and pay $54 a month. Switch to State Farm.

I used to have Farmer's insurance. I'm sure that's not the state farm.

i pay 120 for full coverage on the trans am and liability on the cav and the wifes malibu. probably be lower but her driving record looks like she street races and does public destruction derby events. hell i let her drive the cav ONE time and she rear ended a guy at a red light. yet she wonders why in the 11 years ive had the trans am that she's not allowed to drive it lol

current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

            Re: high insurance

That's why I don't teach my wife to drive in the city. She's so distracted by everything that I feel like my head is going to snap from all that hard braking.

Steve, do you have 15/30k on bodily injury and 10k on property damage with state farm.

They're 15 bucks more than geico if it's similar coverage of 25/50k on bodily damage and 25k on property damage.

I don't remember it's the lowest and $500 deductible on the truck. I'm getting full on the Camaro with glass and towing as soon as it's fixed and up and running for an extra $16 a month.

I have been looking down over in Louisiana, Oklahoma and Tennessee! I'd move in almost a heart beat. Toronto drives me absolutely bat **** crazy it's such a poison environment.

Tom, you should be able to get modified car insurance on your Bird through Hagerty or Lant.

Lant has a 15 year minimum restriction for modified cars- Hagerty doesn't appear to have one listed on their site. I may give them a call in the next few weeks as my insurance renewal date is coming up in June.

your Bird is older than my Camaro so you make the cut!

You should look into AZ. Wouldn't have to worry about too much snow.
