A friend told me about this, it is supposed to improve horsepower mildly as well as increasing your gas mileage substantially. I know it isn't exactly a turbocharger but this is the best topic to post it in. Opinions?

You do get a small increase in horsepower and fuel mileage. You use 1 or 2 in your intake. I tried the Spiralmax version (which is probably what those are) The difference is definitely noticeable. I had a crapload of mods on my car when I tried them. BlackFbird what happened when you installed yours? I have never met anybody that has tried one who said it did not work.

well i found that i would run faster with it out at the track, not really sure why the only thing i could think of is it is restricting air flow..

I have checked the turbonator.com and they don't explain well what is it or how it looks like. If it is similar to Tornado then I have something to say. Before I made mods to my camaro I installed it and the car was running better. I posted this in this forum and some people were angry with me. But the reality is that I felt an improvement. After, I replaced the original airbox for the air cool induction and the air lid. Taking off the tornado, I felt a bigger difference. After I put the tornado with all those mods and I felt the car was forcing and not breahting ok. So I decided not to use the tornado again. Don't asking me to explain this. This is what I experienced.

Definitely sucks, those things do nothing but cause trouble. They block air flow and my friend had one in a cavalier and it made the check engine light come on. Definitely crap.

99firebird44, If your friend has the tornado, probably he put it in the wrong direction.

I think those things benefit trucks more than sports cars maybe cause they have bigger engines?
