I have made out a list of all the mods I want to perform over on my 94 3.4 camaro. I want my camaro to be a daily driver, but be a fast 1/4. Also has to be emissions legal. Please give me any tips from personal experience or tell me if you would change anything in the list. I have not done anything to it yet, and plan on keeping this car for the rest of my life.
MSD/ign wires and plugs, 180 thermostat, manuel fan switch, poly trans mount, tornado fuel saver, SLP cold air intake, Borla 3" catback exhaust, catco high flow cat, Pacesetter armor coated headers, torque convertor, transgo shift kit, Corvette servo, 3.42 LSD, Jet chip stage II, comp cam or supersix powerpack, accel ign and coils, underdrive pulleys, powerdyne supercharger. With all these mods what do you think it will run?

Yah I didn't really hear that much about it. Guess its just a waste of money. Other than that does it sound like a good setup?

Dont hate me for this, but with all the money you going to put in your car on mods, you better of selling it and buying a used Z28, they dont cost that much more then V6s and they will always be faster no matter what you do to a good little 3.4.

Cant afford the insurance, plus I got my camaro for very cheap and its in perfect condition. Im only 16 and am going to keep the car for probably the rest of my life. I know the Z28 will always be faster, but I would like to have a very fast 6.

            TORNADO WASTE OF MONEY??????????????????????

I used a tornado in a 1991 eagle summit and i went from getting 25 mpg consistentley for over 6 months to 31 consistentley and on the highway I got like 40 when I drove from san fransisco to arizona. i dont know if it did anything for power but it definatley is a fuel saver.

Not all Z28's are faster than 3.4L V6's. Take Matt's, Tiago's and mine for example.

As far as your mod list, the only thing I would change would be the Accel coils. I have a lot of problems with them. You should look into the MSD coils instead. You will have much better luck with them.

SSM Powerpak is a waste of money. The gains you get is mostly from just a cam swap. Save your money and get a good cam instead.

Jet Chip: It's popular opinion that this is a waste of money. Send you computer to ZZP and have them reprogram it.

Powerdyne: I don't know about the 3.4, but the 3.8 kit has issues slipping at 9PSI. I would talk to Tiago about his turbo kit.

And like it was said in another post, ditch the tornado, waste of money.

I can sympothize with you. My V6 would've been a V8 if it wasn't for Insurance purposes.
Sounds like you have a pretty good setup planned, but keep in mind, things never go as planned!
Also, that's gonna cost alot of money for what you have in mind, and alot of labor. Especially if you're sending it to a mechanic.
Oh, stay away from the torn-crap-o fuel saver. It's a modified beer can that doesn't do sh*t for you except getting $.05 for recycling it.

They keep telling me that they don't do that anymore
I have a 97 PCM that needs reprogramming to fit my 96, but I can't find anyone to do it.

Thanks for the tips. I know it will cost a lot of money, but I think it would be worth it. After looking at the tornado a little bit, I definately wont get it. Do they make a turbo kit for the 3.4?

Also, should you wait to have your comp reprogrammed after all the mods are done? Not to familiar with the comp stuff? What do you think a set up like this would probably run in the 1/4 without the turbo/super?

Let me know if/when you find someone willing to reprogram PCM's. I've been looking high-n-low in the past few months, and no-one wants to do it.

If someone's gonna ask, yes, I've called ZZP, and they turned me down.
