what catback exasut sounds better in your opinion, i ordered a magnaflow 2.5, and still waiting for it.

i hate how some exasuts sound so rasspy when reviing it, how do i elminate most of the rasp, i do plan on doing headers soon.

what is a good exaust setup? any examples?

Can't eliminate rasp...it's generated by the firing order of the cylinders. You can reduce it by getting headers, and reduce it even more with internal work, but your car will still rasp at some point

I love my flowmaster and get compliments all the time, but if I had the cash I would have went with magnaflow. I never hear anything bad about magnaflow.

I went with flowmaster american thunder series, it took a little bit to break it in but once that was done it sounds great, people have thought it was a v8 because of the sound, I have a 97 3.8 and it sounds great, no rasp, no headers.

                  Re: Magnaflow or flowmaster

like smoke panther said, no matter what you do, your going to have rasp at some point. Borla does a good job of reducing the rasp greatly, and so does magnaflow. I'm a bit bias toward Borla, since i have it, but i've heard plenty of magnaflows that i like. Never a flowmaster that i liked.

A larger diameter than stock cat would help. But make sure that you don't introduce any bottlenecks into the system. i.e. your stock S pipe (right after the cat) is 2.25". So if you went and got a 3" cat, it would be pretty much a useless upgrade because you have the bottleneck right after it.
